3 And Joabanswered, The LORD make his people an hundredtimes so many more as theybe: but, my lord the king, are they not all my lord'sservants? why then doth my lordrequire this thing? why will he be a cause of trespass to Israel?
3 And Joab said, May the Lord make his people a hundred times more in number than they are; but, my lord king, are they not all my lord's servants? why would my lord have this done? why will he become a cause of sin to Israel?
3 요압이 가로되 여호와께서 그 백성을 지금보다 백배나 더하시기를 원하나이다 내 주 왕이여 이 백성이 다 내 주의 종이 아니니이까 내 주께서 어찌하여 이 일을 명하시나이까 어찌하여 이스라엘로 죄가 있게 하시나이까 하나

4 Nevertheless the king'swordprevailed against Joab. Wherefore Joabdeparted, and went throughout all Israel, and came to Jerusalem.
