6 But the hand of the LORD was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and smote them with emerodsㆍ, evenAshdod and the coasts thereof.

9 And it was so, that, after they had carried it about, the hand of the LORD was against the city with a verygreatdestruction: and he smote the men of the city, both small and great, and they had emerodsㆍ in their secret parts.
9 But after they had taken it away, the hand of the Lord was stretched out against the town for its destruction: and the signs of disease came out on all the men of the town, small and great.

12 And the men that died not were smitten with the emerodsㆍ: and the cry of the city went up to heaven.
