15 And when he was departed thence, he lighted on Jehonadab the son of Rechabcoming to meet him: and he saluted him, and said to him, Is thine heartright, as my heartis with thy heart? And Jehonadabanswered, It is. If it be, giveme thine hand. And he gavehim his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.
15 And when he had gone away from there, he came across Jehonadab, the son of Rechab: and he said good-day to him, and said to him, Is your heart true to mine, as mine is to yours? And Jehonadab in answer said, It is; and Jehu said, If it is, give me your hand. And he gave him his hand, and he made him come up into his carriage.
15 예후가 거기서 떠나가다가 레갑의 아들 여호나답이 맞으러 오는 것을 만난지라 그 안부를 묻고 가로되 내 마음이 네 마음을 향하여 진실함과 같이 네 마음도 진실하냐 여호나답이 대답하되 그러하니이다 가로되 그러면 나와 손을 잡자 손을 잡으니 예후가 끌어 병거에 올리며

16 And he said, Come with me, and see my zeal for the LORD. So they made him ride in his chariot.

17 And when he came to Samaria, he slew all that remained unto Ahab in Samaria, till he had destroyed him, according to the saying of the LORD, which he spake to Elijah.
17 And when he came to Samaria, he put to death all those of Ahab's family who were still in Samaria, till there were no more of them, as the Lord had said to Elijah.
17 사마리아에 이르러 거기 남아 있는바 아합에게 속한 자를 죽여 진멸하였으니 여호와께서 엘리야에게 이르신 말씀과 같이 되었더라
