7 And hearing of this, David sent Joab and all the army and the best fighting-men.

9 When Joabsaw that the front of the battle was against him before and behind, he chose of all the choicemen of Israel, and put them in arrayagainst the Syrians:
9 Now when Joab saw that their forces were in position against him in front and at his back, he took the best of the men of Israel and put them in line against the Aramaeans;
9 요압이 앞 뒤에 친 적진을 보고 이스라엘의 뺀 자 중에서 또 빼서 아람 사람을 대하여 진 치고

10 And the rest of the people he delivered into the hand of Abishai his brother, that he might put them in arrayagainst the children of Ammon.

10 그 남은 무리는 그 아우 아비새의 수하에 붙여 암몬 자손을 대하여 진 치게 하고

11 And he said, If the Syrians be too strong for me, then thou shalt help me: but if the children of Ammon be too strong for thee, then I will come and help thee.
11 And he said, If the Aramaeans are stronger and get the better of me, then you are to come to my help; but if the children of Ammon get the better of you, I will come to your help.
11 가로되 만일 아람 사람이 나보다 강하면 네가 나를 돕고 만일 암몬 자손이 너보다 강하면 내가 가서 너를 도우리라

14 And when the children of Ammonsaw that the Syrians were fled, then fled they also beforeAbishai, and entered into the city. So Joabreturned from the children of Ammon, and came to Jerusalem.
14 And when the children of Ammon saw the flight of the Aramaeans, they themselves went in flight from Abishai, and came into the town. So Joab went back from fighting the children of Ammon and came to Jerusalem.
14 암몬 자손은 아람 사람의 도망함을 보고 저희도 아비새 앞에서 도망하여 성으로 들어간지라 요압이 암몬 자손을 떠나 예루살렘으로 돌아오니라
