14 And Absalom and all the men of Israelsaid, The counsel of Hushai the Architeisbetter than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the goodcounsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bringevil upon Absalom.
14 Then Absalom and all the men of Israel said, Hushai's suggestion is better than that of Ahithophel. For it was the purpose of the Lord to make the wise designs of Ahithophel without effect, so that the Lord might send evil on Absalom.
