22 And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree:	22 If a man does a crime for which the punishment is death, and he is put to death by hanging him on a tree;	22 사람이 만일 죽을 죄를 범하므로 네가 그를 죽여 나무 위에 달거든

23 His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.	23 Do not let his body be on the tree all night, but put it to rest in the earth the same day; for the man who undergoes hanging is cursed by God; so do not make unclean the land which the Lord your God is giving you for your heritage.	23 그 시체를 나무 위에 밤새도록 두지 말고 당일에 장사하여 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 기업으로 주시는 땅을 더럽히지 말라 나무에 달린 자는 하나님께 저주를 받았음이니라

영문학의 위대한 고전인 KJV 영어 성경의 영어(1611년~)는 셰익스피어의 영어문장처럼 현대 영문법과 약간 다릅니다. 하지만 몇 가지 차이만 알면 오히려 요즘 영어문장보다 더 정확한 내용 이해와 문장의 맛을 느낄 수 있습니다.

상대편(2인칭)에게 말할 때 단수, 복수를 구분합니다. 복수(너희)이면 ye, you, your, yours, yourself를, 단수(너)이면 thou, thee, thy, thine, thyself입니다. 요즘 영어와 달리 "너"와 "너희"가 명확히 구분됩니다!
3인칭 현재동사는 -th나 -eth로 끝나는데 요즘 영어문장에서 -s나 -es와 같습니다.
-st나 -est로 끝나는 동사는 직설법을 말하는 데, 생략하고 읽으면 됩니다.
