21 Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a rightway for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance.
21 Then I gave orders for a time of going without food, there by the river Ahava, so that we might make ourselves low before our God in prayer, requesting from him a straight way for us and for our little ones and for all our substance.
21 때에 내가 아하와강 가에서 금식을 선포하고 우리 하나님 앞에서 스스로 겸비하여 우리와 우리 어린것과 모든 소유를 위하여 평탄한 길을 그에게 간구하였으니
[x]MKJV: Then I called a fast there at the river Ahava, so that we might humble ourselves before our God, in order to seek from Him a right way for us and for our little ones, and for all our goods. BBE: Then I gave orders for a time of going without food, there by the river Ahava, so that we might make ourselves low before our God in prayer, requesting from him a straight way for us and for our little ones and for all our substance. KAV: ¶ 그때에 내가 거기서 아하바 강에서 금식을 선포하고 우리 [하나님] 앞에서 우리 자신을 괴롭게 하여 우리와 우리의 어린것들과 우리의 모든 재물을 위해 바른 길을 주실 것을 그분께 구하였으니 TSK: I proclaimed: jud 20:26, 1sa 7:6, 2ch 20:3, joe 1:14, joe 2:12-18, jon 3:5; afflict ourselves: le 16:29,31, le 23:29, isa 58:3,5, jer 31:8,9, jer 50:4,5; to seek: ps 5:8, ps 107:2-8, ps 143:8-10, pr 3:6, isa 30:21, isa 35:8, isa 42:16, isa 49:10, jer 10:23; for our little ones: nu 14:3,31, ps 8:2, mr 10:13-16, ac 2:39
22 For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our Godis upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrathis against all them that forsake him.
22 For I would not, for shame, make request to the king for a band of armed men and horsemen to give us help against those who might make attacks on us on the way: for we had said to the king, The hand of our God is on his servants for good, but his power and his wrath are against all those who are turned away from him.

23 So we fasted and besought our God for this: and he was entreated of us.
23 So we went without food, requesting our God for this: and his ear was open to our prayer.
23 그러므로 우리가 이를 위하여 금식하며 우리 하나님께 간구하였더니 그 응낙하심을 입었느니라
