17 But thine eyes and thine heartare not but for thy covetousness, and for to shedinnocentblood, and for oppression, and for violence, to doit.
17 But your eyes and your heart are fixed only on profit for yourself, on causing the death of him who has done no wrong, and on violent and cruel acts.
18 Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiahking of Judah; They shall not lament for him, saying,Ah my brother! or, Ahsister! they shall not lament for him, saying,Ahlord! or, Ah his glory!
