사도가 믿음 안에서 굳건함을 권면하다. (1-4) 거짓 신앙 고백자들에게 감염될 위험과, 그들과 그 추종자들에게 내려질 두려운 형벌. (5-7) 이 유혹자들과 그들의 개탄스러운 최후에 대한 두려운 묘사. (8-16) 믿는 자들이 그들 가운데 일어나는 이러한 속이는 자들에게 놀라지 말라고 경고받다. (17-23) 편지가 격려하는 송영, 곧 찬양의 말로 끝맺다. (24,25)

23 And to some give salvation, pulling them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the clothing which is made unclean by the flesh.
