16 Behold, thesecaused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to committrespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.
16 It was these who, moved by Balaam, were the cause of Israel's sin against the Lord in the question of Peor, because of which disease came on the people of the Lord.
