유대인들의 거부는 전면적이지 않음. (1-10) 하나님이 이방인들이 복음의 특권에 참여하도록 그들의 불신을 통제하심. (11-21) 이방인들이 교만과 불신을 경계하라는 경고를 받다, 유대인들이 한 민족으로 부름받아 하나님의 보이는 언약으로 다시 들어올 것임. (22-32) 하나님의 지혜, 선하심, 공의에 대한 엄숙한 찬양. (33-36)
18Boastnotagainst the branches. Butif thou boast, thoubearestnot the root, but the rootthee.
18 Do not be uplifted in pride over the branches: because it is not you who are the support of the root, but it is by the root that you are supported.
18 그 가지들을 향하여 자긍하지 말라 자긍할찌라도 네가 뿌리를 보전하는 것이 아니요 뿌리가 너를 보전하는 것이니라

21ForifGodsparednot the naturalbranchesㆍ, take heedlestㆍhealsosparenotthee.
21 For, if God did not have mercy on the natural branches, he will not have mercy on you.
21 하나님이 원 가지들도 아끼지 아니하셨은즉 너도 아끼지 아니하시리라

22Beholdtherefore the goodnessandseverity of God: on them which fellㆍ, severity; buttowardthee, goodness, if thou continue in hisgoodness: otherwisethoualso shalt be cut off.
22 See then that God is good but his rules are fixed: to those who were put away he was hard, but to you he has been good, on the condition that you keep in his mercy; if not, you will be cut off as they were.
22 그러므로 하나님의 인자와 엄위를 보라 넘어지는 자들에게는 엄위가 있으니 너희가 만일 하나님의 인자에 거하면 그 인자가 너희에게 있으리라 그렇지 않으면 너도 찍히는바 되리라
