Q31. Why is He called Christ, that is, Anointed?

Because He is ordained of God the Father, and anointed with the Holy Ghost, to be our chief Prophet and Teacher, who fully reveals to us the secret counsel and will of God concerning our redemption; and our only High Priest, who by the one sacrifice of His body has redeemed us, and ever liveth to make intercession for us with the Father; and our eternal King, who governs us by His Word and Spirit, and defends and preserves us in the redemption obtained for us.

문 31. 그분을 왜 “기름 부음 받은 자”라는 뜻의 그리스도라고 부릅니까?

성부 하나님께서 그분을 세우시고 성령으로 기름 부으셨기 때문입니다. 그분은 우리의 구속에 관한 하나님의 은밀한 계획과 뜻을 온전히 계시하시는 최고의 선지자와 교사이십니다. 또한 자신의 몸을 단 한 번 제물로 드려 우리를 구속하셨고, 성부 앞에서 우리를 위하여 간구하시려고 항상 살아 계시는 유일한 대제사장이십니다. 그리고 말씀과 성령으로 우리를 다스리시며, 우리를 위해 얻으신 구속 안에서 우리를 보호하고 보존하시는 영원한 왕이십니다.

18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

18 주의 성령이 내게 임하셨으니 이는 가난한 자에게 복음을 전하게 하시려고 내게 기름을 부으시고 나를 보내사 포로 된 자에게 자유를, 눈먼 자에게 다시 보게 함을 전파하며 눌린 자를 자유케 하고

19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

19 주의 은혜의 해를 전파하게 하려 하심이라 하였더라

히브리서 7:24, 25

24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.

24 예수는 영원히 계시므로 그 제사 직분도 갈리지 아니하나니

25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

25 그러므로 자기를 힘입어 하나님께 나아가는 자들을 온전히 구원하실 수 있으니 이는 그가 항상 살아서 저희를 위하여 간구하심이니라

33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

히브리서 10:14

14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

요한일서 2:1

1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Q32. But why art thou called a Christian?

Because by faith I am a member of Christ, and thus a partaker of His anointing; in order that I also may confess His name, may present myself a living sacrifice of thankfulness to Him, and may with free conscience fight against sin and the devil in this life, and hereafter, in eternity, reign with Him over all creatures.

문 32. 그렇다면 당신은 왜 그리스도인이라고 불립니까?

믿음으로 제가 그리스도의 지체이며, 그리하여 그분의 기름 부으심에 참여하기 때문입니다. 이는 저도 그분의 이름을 고백하고, 감사의 산 제물로 자신을 그분께 드리며, 현세에서 자유로운 양심으로 죄와 마귀에 맞서 싸우고, 이후 영원히 그분과 함께 모든 피조물을 다스리게 하려는 것입니다.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

10 Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do.

21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;

18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;

26 만나매 안디옥에 데리고 와서 둘이 교회에 일년간 모여 있어 큰 무리를 가르쳤고 제자들이 안디옥에서 비로소 그리스도인이라 일컬음을 받게 되었더라
