Q59. But what does it help thee now that thou believest all this?

That I am righteous in Christ before God, and an heir of eternal life.

문 59. 이 모든 것을 믿는 것이 지금 당신에게 어떤 유익을 줍니까?

제가 그리스도 안에서 하나님 앞에 의로운 자이며 영원한 생명의 상속자라는 유익을 줍니다.

Q60. How art thou righteous before God?

Only by true faith in Jesus Christ; that is, although my conscience accuse me that I have grievously sinned against all the commandments of God, and have never kept any of them, and that I am still prone always to all evil, yet God, without any merit of mine, of mere grace, grants and imputes to me the perfect satisfaction, righteousness, and holiness of Christ, as if I had never committed nor had any sin, and had myself accomplished all the obedience which Christ has fulfilled for me, if only I accept such benefit with a believing heart.

문 60. 당신은 어떻게 하나님 앞에서 의로운 자가 됩니까?

오직 예수 그리스도를 믿는 참된 믿음으로 됩니다. 저의 양심은 제가 하나님의 모든 계명을 거슬러 심각하게 죄를 지었고, 그 어느 계명도 지키지 않았으며, 여전히 언제나 모든 악으로 기울어진다고 저를 고발합니다. 그러나 하나님께서는 제게 아무 공로가 없는데도 오직 은혜로 그리스도의 완전한 만족과 의와 거룩함을 저에게 주시고 전가하십니다. 그리하여 제가 아무 죄도 범하지 않았고 죄를 지닌 적도 없으며, 그리스도께서 저를 위하여 이루신 모든 순종을 제가 직접 이룬 것처럼 여기십니다. 저는 다만 이 유익을 믿는 마음으로 받아들이면 됩니다.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

8 너희가 그 은혜를 인하여 믿음으로 말미암아 구원을 얻었나니 이것이 너희에게서 난 것이 아니요 하나님의 선물이라

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

9 행위에서 난 것이 아니니 이는 누구든지 자랑치 못하게 함이니라

로마서 3:28

28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

28 그러므로 사람이 의롭다 하심을 얻는 것은 율법의 행위에 있지 않고 믿음으로 되는줄 우리가 인정하노라

갈라디아서 2:16

16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

16 사람이 의롭게 되는 것은 율법의 행위에서 난 것이 아니요 오직 예수 그리스도를 믿음으로 말미암는줄 아는고로 우리도 그리스도 예수를 믿나니 이는 우리가 율법의 행위에서 아니고 그리스도를 믿음으로서 의롭다 함을 얻으려 함이라 율법의 행위로서는 의롭다 함을 얻을 육체가 없느니라

갈라디아서 3:22

22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

2 마음에 간사가 없고 여호와께 정죄를 당치 않은 자는 복이 있도다

Q61. Why sayest thou that thou art righteous only by faith?

Not that I am acceptable to God on account of the worthiness of my faith; but because only the satisfaction, righteousness, and holiness of Christ is my righteousness before trod, and I can receive the same and make it my own in no other way than by faith only.

문 61. 당신은 왜 오직 믿음으로 의롭게 된다고 말합니까?
