No mere man, since the fall, is able in his life perfectly to keep the commandments of God1 , but does daily break them in thought,2 word3 , and deed.4
타락 이후 단지 인간일 뿐인 사람은 누구도 현세에서 하나님의 계명을 완전하게 지킬 수 없습니다.1 오히려 날마다 생각과2 말과3 행위로 계명을 어깁니다.4
20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.
20 선을 행하고 죄를 범치 아니하는 의인은 세상에 아주 없느니라
창세기 8:21
21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

야고보서 3:8
8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
