The Spirit of God makes the reading, but especially the preaching of the Word, an effectual means of convicting and converting sinners,1 and of building them up in holiness and comfort2 , through faith to salvation.3
7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
