24 There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise:

24 땅에 작고도 가장 지혜로운 것 넷이 있나니

27 The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;

27 임군이 없으되 다 떼를 지어 나아가는 메뚜기와

21 Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;

21 오직 날개가 있고 네 발로 기어다니는 모든 곤충 중에 그 발에 뛰는 다리가 있어서 땅에서 뛰는 것은 너희가 먹을찌니

22 Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind.

22 곧 그중에 메뚜기 종류와 베짱이 종류와 귀뚜라미 종류와 팟종이 종류는 너희가 먹으려니와

15 For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.

15 메뚜기가 온 지면에 덮여 날으매 땅이 어둡게 되었고 메뚜기가 우박에 상하지 아니한 밭의 채소와 나무 열매를 다 먹었으므로 애굽 전경에 나무나 밭의 채소나 푸른것은 남지 아니하였더라

4 And your spoil shall be gathered like the gathering of the caterpillar: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them.

4 황충의 모임 같이 사람이 너희 노략물을 모을 것이며 메뚜기의 뛰어 오름 같이 그들이 그 위로 뛰어 오르리라

4 The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.

4 그 모양은 말 같고 그 달리는 것은 기병 같으며

7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.

7 황충들의 모양은 전쟁을 위하여 예비한 말들 같고 그 머리에 금 같은 면류관 비슷한 것을 썼으며 그 얼굴은 사람의 얼굴 같고

13 And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

13 모세가 애굽 땅 위에 그 지팡이를 들매 여호와께서 동풍을 일으켜 온 낮과 온 밤에 불게 하시니 아침에 미쳐 동풍이 메뚜기를 불어 들인지라

19 And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Egypt.

19 여호와께서 돌이켜 강렬한 서풍이 불게 하사 메뚜기를 홍해에 몰아 넣으시니 애굽 온 지경에 메뚜기가 하나도 남지 아니하니라

34 He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillars, and that without number,

34 여호와께서 말씀하신즉 황충과 무수한 메뚜기가 이르러

15 There shall the fire devour thee; the sword shall cut thee off, it shall eat thee up like the cankerworm: make thyself many as the cankerworm, make thyself many as the locusts.

15 거기서 불이 너를 삼키며 칼이 너를 베기를 늣의 먹는 것 같이 하리라 네가 늣 같이 스스로 많게 할찌어다 네가 메뚜기 같이 스스로 많게 할찌어다

27 The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;

27 임군이 없으되 다 떼를 지어 나아가는 메뚜기와

4 Else, if thou refuse to let my people go, behold, to morrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast:

4 네가 만일 내 백성 보내기를 거절하면 내일 내가 메뚜기로 네 경내에 들어가게 하리니

5 And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which groweth for you out of the field:

5 메뚜기가 지면을 덮어서 사람이 땅을 볼 수 없을 것이라 메뚜기가 네게 남은 그것 곧 우박을 면하고 남은 것을 먹으며 들에 너희를 위하여 자라는 모든 나무를 먹을 것이며

6 And they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither thy fathers, nor thy fathers' fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this day. And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh.

6 또 네 집들과 네 모든 신하의 집들과 모든 애굽 사람의 집들에 가득하리니 이는 네 아비와 네 조상이 세상에 있어 옴으로 오늘까지 보지 못하였던 것이리라 하셨다 하고 돌이켜 바로에게서 나오니

7 And Pharaoh's servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: knowest thou not yet that Egypt is destroyed?

7 바로의 신하들이 그에게 고하되 어느 때까지 이 사람이 우리의 함정이 되리이까 그 사람들을 보내어 그 하나님 여호와를 섬기게 하소서 왕은 아직도 애굽이 망한 줄을 알지 못하시나이까 하고

8 And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto them, Go, serve the LORD your God: but who are they that shall go?

8 모세와 아론을 바로에게로 다시 데려오니 바로가 그들에게 이르되 가서 너희 하나님 여호와를 섬기라 갈 자는 누구 누구뇨

9 And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto the LORD.

9 모세가 가로되 우리가 여호와 앞에 절기를 지킬것인즉 우리가 남녀 노소와 우양을 데리고 가겠나이다

10 And he said unto them, Let the LORD be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you.

10 바로가 그들에게 이르되 내가 너희와 너희 어린 것들을 보내면 여호와를 너희와 함께하게 함과 일반이니라 삼갈찌어다 너희 경영이 악하니라

11 Not so: go now ye that are men, and serve the LORD; for that ye did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.

11 그는 불가하니 너희 남정만 가서 여호와를 섬기라 이것이 너희의 구하는 바니라 이에 그들이 바로 앞에서 쫓겨나니라

12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail hath left.

12 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 네 손을 애굽 땅 위에 들어 메뚜기로 애굽 땅에 올라와서 우박에 상하지 아니한 밭의 모든 채소를 먹게 하라

13 And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

13 모세가 애굽 땅 위에 그 지팡이를 들매 여호와께서 동풍을 일으켜 온 낮과 온 밤에 불게 하시니 아침에 미쳐 동풍이 메뚜기를 불어 들인지라

14 And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.

14 메뚜기가 애굽 온 땅에 이르러 그 사방에 내리매 그 해가 심하니 이런 메뚜기는 전에도 없었고 후에도 없을러라

15 For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.

15 메뚜기가 온 지면에 덮여 날으매 땅이 어둡게 되었고 메뚜기가 우박에 상하지 아니한 밭의 채소와 나무 열매를 다 먹었으므로 애굽 전경에 나무나 밭의 채소나 푸른것은 남지 아니하였더라

4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.

4 이 요한은 약대 털옷을 입고 허리에 가죽띠를 띠고 음식은 메뚜기와 석청이었더라

38 Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.

38 네가 많은 종자를 들에 심을지라도 메뚜기가 먹으므로 거둘 것이 적을 것이며

42 All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume.

42 네 모든 나무와 토지 소산은 메뚜기가 먹을 것이며

37 If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, or if there be caterpillar; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness there be;

37 만일 이 땅에 기근이나 온역이 있거나 곡식이 시들거나 깜부기가 나거나 메뚜기나 황충이 나거나 적국이 와서 성읍을 에워싸거나 무슨 재앙이나 무슨 질병이 있든지 무론하고

38 What prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:

38 한 사람이나 혹 주의 온 백성 이스라엘이 다 각각 자기의 마음에 재앙을 깨닫고 이 전을 향하여 손을 펴고 무슨 기도나 무슨 간구를 하거든

4 That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpillar eaten.

4 팟종이가 남긴 것을 메뚜기가 먹고 메뚜기가 남긴 것을 늣이 먹고 늣이 남긴 것을 황충이 먹었도다

25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

25 내가 전에 너희에게 보낸 큰 군대 곧 메뚜기와 늣과 황충과 팟종이의 먹은 햇수대로 너희에게 갚아주리니

13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

13 혹 내가 하늘을 닫고 비를 내리지 아니하거나 혹 메뚜기로 토산을 먹게 하거나 혹 염병으로 내 백성 가운데 유행하게 할 때에

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

14 내 이름으로 일컫는 내 백성이 그 악한 길에서 떠나 스스로 겸비하고 기도하여 내 얼굴을 구하면 내가 하늘에서 듣고 그 죄를 사하고 그 땅을 고칠찌라

6 For a nation is come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion.

6 한 이족이 내 땅에 올라왔음이로다 그들은 강하고 무수하며 그 이는 사자의 이 같고 그 어금니는 암사자의 어금니 같도다

7 He hath laid my vine waste, and barked my fig tree: he hath made it clean bare, and cast it away; the branches thereof are made white.

7 그들이 내 포도나무를 멸하며 내 무화과나무를 긁어 말갛게 벗겨서 버리니 그 모든 가지가 하얗게 되었도다

2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

2 곧 어둡고 캄캄한 날이요 빽빽한 구름이 끼인 날이라 새벽 빛이 산 꼭대기에 덮인 것과 같으니 이는 많고 강한 백성이 이르렀음이라 이같은 것이 자고 이래로 없었고 이후 세세에 없으리로다

3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.

3 불이 그들의 앞을 사르며 불꽃이 그들의 뒤를 태우니 그 전의 땅은 에덴 동산 같았으나 그 후의 땅은 황무한 들 같으니 그 들을 피한 자가 없도다

4 The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.

4 그 모양은 말 같고 그 달리는 것은 기병 같으며

5 Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.

5 그들의 산 꼭대기에서 뛰는 소리가 병거 소리와도 같고 불꽃이 초개를 사르는 소리와도 같으며 강한 군사가 항오를 벌이고 싸우는 것 같으니

6 Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.

6 그 앞에서 만민이 송구하여 하며 무리의 낯빛이 하얘졌도다

7 They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:

7 그들이 용사 같이 달리며 무사 같이 성을 더위잡고 오르며 각기 자기의 길로 행하되 그 항오를 어기지 아니하며

8 Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.

8 피차에 부딪히지 아니하고 각기 자기의 길로 행하며 병기를 충돌하고 나아가나 상치 아니하며

9 They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.

9 성중에 뛰어 들어가며 성 위에 달리며 집에 더위잡고 오르며 도적 같이 창으로 들어가니

3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

3 또 황충이 연기 가운데로부터 땅 위에 나오매 저희가 땅에 있는 전갈의 권세와 같은 권세를 받았더라

17 Thy crowned are as the locusts, and thy captains as the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun ariseth they flee away, and their place is not known where they are.

17 너의 방백은 메뚜기 같고 너의 대장은 큰 메뚜기 떼가 추운 날에는 울타리에 깃들였다가 해가 뜨면 날아감과 같으니 그 있는 곳을 알 수 없도다
