4 Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.

4 때에 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 보라 내가 너희를 위하여 하늘에서 양식을 비 같이 내리리니 백성이 나가서 일용할 것을 날마다 거둘 것이라 이같이 하여 그들이 나의 율법을 준행하나 아니하나 내가 시험하리라

15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat.

15 이스라엘 자손이 보고 그것이 무엇인지 알지 못하여 서로 이르되 이것이 무엇이냐 하니 모세가 그들에게 이르되 이는 여호와께서 너희에게 주어 먹게 하신 양식이라

15 And gavest them bread from heaven for their hunger, and broughtest forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promisedst them that they should go in to possess the land which thou hadst sworn to give them.

15 저희의 주림을 인하여 하늘에서 양식을 주시며 저희의 목마름을 인하여 반석에서 물을 내시고 또 주께서 옛적에 손을 들어 맹세하시고 주마 하신 땅을 들어가서 차지하라 명하셨사오나

20 Thou gavest also thy good spirit to instruct them, and withheldest not thy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst.

20 또 주의 선한 신을 주사 저희를 가르치시며 주의 만나로 저희 입에 끊어지지 않게 하시고 저희의 목마름을 인하여 물을 주시사

40 The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

40 그들이 구한즉 메추라기로 오게 하시며 또 하늘 양식으로 그들을 만족케 하셨도다

31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.

31 기록된바 하늘에서 저희에게 떡을 주어 먹게 하였다 함과 같이 우리 조상들은 광야에서 만나를 먹었나이다

24 And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven.

24 저희에게 만나를 비같이 내려 먹이시며 하늘 양식으로 주셨나니

25 Man did eat angels' food: he sent them meat to the full.

25 사람이 권세 있는 자의 떡을 먹음이여 하나님이 식물을 충족히 주셨도다

3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;

3 다 같은 신령한 식물을 먹으며

3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

3 너를 낮추시며 너로 주리게 하시며 또 너도 알지 못하며 네 열조도 알지 못하던 만나를 네게 먹이신것은 사람이 떡으로만 사는 것이 아니요 여호와의 입에서 나오는 모든 말씀으로 사는 줄을 너로 알게하려 하심이니라

16 Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;

16 네 열조도 알지 못하던 만나를 광야에서 네게 먹이셨나니 이는 다 너를 낮추시며 너를 시험하사 마침내 네게 복을 주려 하심이었느니라

31 And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.

31 이스라엘 족속이 그 이름을 만나라 하였으며 깟씨 같고도 희고 맛은 꿀 섞은 과자 같았더라

7 And the manna was as coriander seed, and the colour thereof as the colour of bdellium.

7 만나는 깟씨와 같고 모양은 진주와 같은 것이라

31 And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.

31 이스라엘 족속이 그 이름을 만나라 하였으며 깟씨 같고도 희고 맛은 꿀 섞은 과자 같았더라

7 And the manna was as coriander seed, and the colour thereof as the colour of bdellium.

7 만나는 깟씨와 같고 모양은 진주와 같은 것이라

18 And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore the LORD will give you flesh, and ye shall eat.

18 또 백성에게 이르기를 너희 몸을 거룩히 하여 내일 고기 먹기를 기다리라 너희가 울며 이르기를 누가 우리에게 고기를 주어 먹게 할꼬 애굽에 있을 때가 우리에게 재미 있었다 하는 말이 여호와께 들렸으므로 여호와께서 너희에게 고기를 주어 먹게 하실 것이라

14 And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground.

14 그 이슬이 마른 후에 광야 지면에 작고 둥글며 서리 같이 세미한 것이 있는지라

9 And when the dew fell upon the camp in the night, the manna fell upon it.

9 밤에 이슬이 진에 내릴 때에 만나도 같이 내렸더라

26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.

26 육일 동안은 너희가 그것을 거두되 제 칠일은 안식일인즉 그 날에는 없으리라 하였으나

27 And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none.

27 제 칠일에 백성 중 더러가 거두러 나갔다가 얻지 못하니라

21 And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.

21 무리가 아침마다 각기 식량대로 거두었고 해가 뜨겁게 쪼이면 그것이 스러졌더라

16 This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents.

16 여호와께서 이같이 명하시기를 너희 각 사람의 식량대로 이것을 거둘지니 곧 너희 인수대로 매명에 한 오멜씩 취하되 각 사람이 그 장막에 있는 자들을 위하여 취할지니라 하셨느니라

5 And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.

5 제 육일에는 그들이 그 거둔 것을 예비할찌니 날마다 거두던 것의 갑절이 되리라

22 And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.

22 제 육일에는 각 사람이 갑절의 식물 곧 하나에 두 오멜씩 거둔지라 회중의 모든 두목이 와서 모세에게 고하매

23 And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

23 모세가 그들에게 이르되 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 내일은 휴식이니 여호와께 거룩한 안식일이라 너희가 구울 것은 굽고 삶을 것은 삶고 그 나머지는 다 너희를 위하여 아침까지 간수하라

24 And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein.

24 그들이 모세의 명대로 아침까지 간수하였으나 냄새도 나지 아니하고 벌레도 생기지 아니한지라

25 And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the LORD: to day ye shall not find it in the field.

25 모세가 가로되 오늘은 그것을 먹으라 오늘은 여호와께 안식일인즉 오늘은 너희가 그것을 들에서 얻지 못하리라

26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.

26 육일 동안은 너희가 그것을 거두되 제 칠일은 안식일인즉 그 날에는 없으리라 하였으나

18 And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.

18 오멜로 되어 본즉 많이 거둔 자도 남음이 없고 적게 거둔 자도 부족함이 없이 각기 식량대로 거두었더라

21 And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.

21 무리가 아침마다 각기 식량대로 거두었고 해가 뜨겁게 쪼이면 그것이 스러졌더라

2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:

2 이스라엘 온 회중이 그 광야에서 모세와 아론을 원망하여

3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

3 그들에게 이르되 우리가 애굽 땅에서 고기 가마 곁에 앉았던 때와 떡을 배불리 먹던 때에 여호와의 손에 죽었더면 좋았을 것을 너희가 이 광야로 우리를 인도하여 내어 이 온 회중으로 주려 죽게 하는도다

40 The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

40 그들이 구한즉 메추라기로 오게 하시며 또 하늘 양식으로 그들을 만족케 하셨도다

31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.

31 기록된바 하늘에서 저희에게 떡을 주어 먹게 하였다 함과 같이 우리 조상들은 광야에서 만나를 먹었나이다

32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.

32 예수께서 이르시되 내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 하늘에서 내린 떡은 모세가 준것이 아니라 오직 내 아버지가 하늘에서 내린 참 떡을 너희에게 주시나니

7 And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for that he heareth your murmurings against the LORD: and what are we, that ye murmur against us?

7 아침에는 너희가 여호와의 영광을 보리니 이는 여호와께서 너희가 자기를 향하여 원망함을 들으셨음이라 우리가 누구관대 너희가 우리를 대하여 원망하느냐

30 They said therefore unto him, What sign showest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

30 저희가 묻되 그러면 우리로 보고 당신을 믿게 행하시는 표적이 무엇이니이까, 하시는 일이 무엇이니이까

31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.

31 기록된바 하늘에서 저희에게 떡을 주어 먹게 하였다 함과 같이 우리 조상들은 광야에서 만나를 먹었나이다

21 Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.

21 사십년 동안을 들에서 기르시되 결핍함이 없게 하시므로 그 옷이 해어지지 아니하였고 발이 부릍지 아니하였사오며

4 Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.

4 때에 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 보라 내가 너희를 위하여 하늘에서 양식을 비 같이 내리리니 백성이 나가서 일용할 것을 날마다 거둘 것이라 이같이 하여 그들이 나의 율법을 준행하나 아니하나 내가 시험하리라

3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

3 너를 낮추시며 너로 주리게 하시며 또 너도 알지 못하며 네 열조도 알지 못하던 만나를 네게 먹이신것은 사람이 떡으로만 사는 것이 아니요 여호와의 입에서 나오는 모든 말씀으로 사는 줄을 너로 알게하려 하심이니라

4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

4 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 기록되었으되 사람이 떡으로만 살것이 아니요 하나님의 입으로 나오는 모든 말씀으로 살 것이라 하였느니라 하시니

16 Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;

16 네 열조도 알지 못하던 만나를 광야에서 네게 먹이셨나니 이는 다 너를 낮추시며 너를 시험하사 마침내 네게 복을 주려 하심이었느니라

19 And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning.

19 모세가 그들에게 이르기를 아무든지 아침까지 그것을 남겨 두지 말라 하였으나

20 Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them.

20 그들이 모세의 말을 청종치 아니하고 더러는 아침까지 두었더니 벌레가 생기고 냄새가 난지라 모세가 그들에게 노하니라

17 And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less.

17 이스라엘 자손이 그같이 하였더니 그 거둔 것이 많기도 하고 적기도 하나

8 And the people went about, and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil.

8 백성이 두루 다니며 그것을 거두어 맷돌에 갈기도 하며 절구에 찧기도 하고 가마에 삶기도 하여 과자를 만들었으니 그 맛이 기름 섞은 과자맛 같았더라

4 And the mixed multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?

4 이스라엘 중에 섞여 사는 무리가 탐욕을 품으매 이스라엘 자손도 다시 울며 가로되 누가 우리에게 고기를 주어 먹게 할꼬

5 We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic:

5 우리가 애굽에 있을 때에는 값 없이 생선과 외와 수박과 부추와 파와 마늘들을 먹은 것이 생각나거늘

6 But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes.

6 이제는 우리 정력이 쇠약하되 이 만나 외에는 보이는 것이 아무 것도 없도다 하니

5 And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.

5 백성이 하나님과 모세를 향하여 원망하되 어찌하여 우리를 애굽에서 인도하여 올려서 이 광야에서 죽게 하는고 이곳에는 식물도 없고 물도 없도다 우리 마음이 이 박한 식물을 싫어하노라 하매

10 Then Moses heard the people weep throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent: and the anger of the LORD was kindled greatly; Moses also was displeased.

10 백성의 온 가족들이 각기 장막 문에서 우는 것을 모세가 들으니라 이러므로 여호와의 진노가 심히 크고 모세도 기뻐하지 아니하여

11 And Moses said unto the LORD, Wherefore hast thou afflicted thy servant? and wherefore have I not found favour in thy sight, that thou layest the burden of all this people upon me?

11 여호와께 여짜오되 주께서 어찌하여 종을 괴롭게 하시나이까 어찌하여 나로 주의 목전에 은혜를 입게 아니하시고 이 모든 백성을 내게 맡기사 나로 그 짐을 지게 하시나이까

12 Have I conceived all this people? have I begotten them, that thou shouldest say unto me, Carry them in thy bosom, as a nursing father beareth the sucking child, unto the land which thou swarest unto their fathers?

12 이 모든 백성을 내가 잉태하였나이까 내가 어찌 그들을 생산하였기에 주께서 나더러 양육하는 아비가 젖 먹는 아이를 품듯 그들을 품에 품고 주께서 그들의 열조에게 맹세하신 땅으로 가라 하시나이까

13 Whence should I have flesh to give unto all this people? for they weep unto me, saying, Give us flesh, that we may eat.

13 이 모든 백성에게 줄 고기를 내가 어디서 얻으리이까 그들이 나를 향하여 울며 가로되 우리에게 고기를 주어 먹게 하라 하온즉

14 I am not able to bear all this people alone, because it is too heavy for me.

14 책임이 심히 중하여 나 혼자는 이 모든 백성을 질 수 없나이다

15 And if thou deal thus with me, kill me, I pray thee, out of hand, if I have found favour in thy sight; and let me not see my wretchedness.

15 주께서 내게 이같이 행하실찐대 구하옵나니 내게 은혜를 베푸사 즉시 나를 죽여 나로 나의 곤고함을 보지 않게 하옵소서

16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom thou knowest to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them unto the tabernacle of the congregation, that they may stand there with thee.

16 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 이스라엘 노인 중 백성의 장로와 유사 되는 줄을 네가 아는 자 칠십인을 모아 데리고 회막 내 앞에 이르러 거기서 너와 함께 서게 하라

17 And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone.

17 내가 강림하여 거기서 너와 말하고 네게 임한 신을 그들에게도 임하게 하리니 그들이 너와 함께 백성의 짐을 담당하고 너 혼자 지지 아니하리라

18 And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore the LORD will give you flesh, and ye shall eat.

18 또 백성에게 이르기를 너희 몸을 거룩히 하여 내일 고기 먹기를 기다리라 너희가 울며 이르기를 누가 우리에게 고기를 주어 먹게 할꼬 애굽에 있을 때가 우리에게 재미 있었다 하는 말이 여호와께 들렸으므로 여호와께서 너희에게 고기를 주어 먹게 하실 것이라

19 Ye shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days, nor twenty days;

19 하루나 이틀이나 닷새나 열흘이나 이십일만 먹을 뿐 아니라

20 But even a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome unto you: because that ye have despised the LORD which is among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt?

20 코에서 넘쳐서 싫어하기까지 일개월간을 먹게 하시리니 이는 너희가 너희 중에 거하시는 여호와를 멸시하고 그 앞에서 울며 이르기를 우리가 어찌하여 애굽에서 나왔던고 함이라 하라

6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.

6 여호와께서 불뱀들을 백성 중에 보내어 백성을 물게 하시므로 이스라엘 백성 중에 죽은 자가 많은지라

35 And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.

35 이스라엘 자손이 사람 사는 땅에 이르기까지 사십년 동안 만나를 먹되 곧 가나안 지경에 이르기까지 그들이 만나를 먹었더라

12 And the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn of the land; neither had the children of Israel manna any more; but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.

12 그 땅 소산을 먹은 다음 날에 만나가 그쳤으니 이스라엘 사람들이 다시는 만나를 얻지 못하였고 그 해에 가나안 땅의 열매를 먹었더라

32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.

32 예수께서 이르시되 내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 하늘에서 내린 떡은 모세가 준것이 아니라 오직 내 아버지가 하늘에서 내린 참 떡을 너희에게 주시나니

33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

33 하나님의 떡은 하늘에서 내려 세상에게 생명을 주는 것이니라

34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.

34 저희가 가로되 주여 이 떡을 항상 우리에게 주소서

35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

35 예수께서 가라사대 내가 곧 생명의 떡이니 내게 오는 자는 결코 주리지 아니할 터이요 나를 믿는 자는 영원히 목마르지 아니하리라

17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

17 귀 있는 자는 성령이 교회들에게 하시는 말씀을 들을찌어다 이기는 그에게는 내가 감추었던 만나를 주고 또 흰 돌을 줄터인데 그 돌 위에 새 이름을 기록한 것이 있나니 받는 자 밖에는 그 이름을 알 사람이 없느니라

32 And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commandeth, Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt.

32 모세가 가로되 여호와께서 이같이 명하시기를 이것을 오멜에 채워서 너희 대대 후손을 위하여 간수하라 이는 내가 너희를 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 낼 때에 광야에서 너희에게 먹인 양식을 그들에게 보이기 위함이니라 하셨다 하고

33 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before the LORD, to be kept for your generations.

33 또 아론에게 이르되 항아리를 가져다가 그 속에 만나 한 오멜을 담아 여호와 앞에 두어 너희 대대로 간수하라

34 As the LORD commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.

34 아론이 여호와께서 모세에게 명하신대로 그것을 증거판 앞에 두어 간수하게 하였고

4 Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

4 금향로와 사면을 금으로 싼 언약궤가 있고 그 안에 만나를 담은 금항아리와 아론의 싹난 지팡이와 언약의 비석들이 있고
