30 And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron's heart, when he goeth in before the LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually.

30 너는 우림과 둠밈을 판결 흉패 안에 넣어 아론으로 여호와 앞에 들어 갈 때에 그 가슴 위에 있게 하라 아론이 여호와 앞에서 이스라엘 자손의 판결을 항상 그 가슴 위에 둘찌니라

8 And he put the breastplate upon him: also he put in the breastplate the Urim and the Thummim.

8 흉패를 붙이고 흉패에 우림과 둠밈을 넣고

21 And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the LORD: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.

21 그는 제사장 엘르아살 앞에 설 것이요 엘르아살은 그를 위하여 우림의 판결법으로 여호와 앞에 물을 것이며 그와 온 이스라엘 자손 곧 온 회중은 엘르아살의 말을 좇아 나가며 들어올 것이니라

1 Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass, that the children of Israel asked the LORD, saying, Who shall go up for us against the Canaanites first, to fight against them?

1 여호수아가 죽은 후에 이스라엘 자손이 여호와께 묻자와 가로되 우리 중 누가 먼저 올라가서 가나안 사람과 싸우리이까

18 And the children of Israel arose, and went up to the house of God, and asked counsel of God, and said, Which of us shall go up first to the battle against the children of Benjamin? And the LORD said, Judah shall go up first.

18 이스라엘 자손이 일어나 벧엘에 올라가서 하나님께 묻자와 가로되 우리 중에 누가 먼저 올라가서 베냐민 자손과 싸우리이까 여호와께서 가라사대 유다가 먼저일찌니라

28 And Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, stood before it in those days,) saying, Shall I yet again go out to battle against the children of Benjamin my brother, or shall I cease? And the LORD said, Go up; for to morrow I will deliver them into thine hand.

28 아론의 손자 엘르아살의 아들 비느하스가 그 앞에 모셨더라) 이스라엘 자손이 묻자오되 내가 다시 나가 나의 형제 베냐민 자손과 싸우리이까 말리이까 여호와께서 가라사대 올라가라 내일은 내가 그를 네 손에 붙이리라

9 And David knew that Saul secretly practiced mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest, Bring hither the ephod.

9 다윗이 사울의 자기를 해하려 하는 계교를 알고 제사장 아비아달에게 이르되 에봇을 이리로 가져오라 하고

10 Then said David, O LORD God of Israel, thy servant hath certainly heard that Saul seeketh to come to Keilah, to destroy the city for my sake.

10 다윗이 가로되 이스라엘 하나님 여호와여 사울이 나의 연고로 이 성을 멸하려고 그일라로 내려오기를 꾀한다 함을 주의 종이 분명히 들었나이다

11 Will the men of Keilah deliver me up into his hand? will Saul come down, as thy servant hath heard? O LORD God of Israel, I beseech thee, tell thy servant. And the LORD said, He will come down.

11 그일라 사람들이 나를 그의 손에 붙이겠나이까 주의 종의 들은대로 사울이 내려 오겠나이까 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와여 원컨대 주의 종에게 일러 주옵소서 여호와께서 가라사대 그가 내려 오리라

7 And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech's son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David.

7 다윗이 아히멜렉의 아들 제사장 아비아달에게 이르되 청컨대 에봇을 내게로 가져오라 아비아달이 에봇을 다윗에게로 가져오매

8 And David inquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.

8 다윗이 여호와께 묻자와 가로되 내가 이 군대를 쫓아 가면 미치겠나이까 여호와께서 대답하시되 쫓아가라 네가 반드시 미치고 정녕 도로 찾으리라

6 And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.

6 사울이 여호와께 묻자오되 여호와께서 꿈으로도, 우림으로도, 선지자로도 그에게 대답지 아니하시므로

63 And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and with Thummim.

63 방백이 저희에게 명하여 우림과 둠밈을 가진 제사장이 일어나기 전에는 지성물을 먹지 말라 하였느니라

8 And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah;

8 레위에 대하여는 일렀으되 주의 둠밈과 우림이 주의 경건한 자에게 있도다 주께서 그를 맛사에서 시험하시고 므리바 물 가에서 그와 다투셨도다

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

4 그 안에 생명이 있었으니 이 생명은 사람들의 빛이라

9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

9 참빛 곧 세상에 와서 각 사람에게 비취는 빛이 있었나니

17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

17 율법은 모세로 말미암아 주신 것이요 은혜와 진리는 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 온 것이라

3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
