33장 최후의 심판

XXXIII. Of the Last Judgment

1. God hath appointed a day wherein he will judge the world in righteousness by Jesus Christ,^a to whom all power and judgment is given of the Father.^b In which day, not only the apostate angels shall be judged,^c but likewise all persons, that have lived upon earth, shall appear before the tribunal of Christ, to give an account of their thoughts, words, and deeds; and to receive according to what they have done in the body, whether good or evil.^d

1. 하나님은 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 세상을 의롭게 심판하실 날을 정하셨다.^a 성부께서는 그리스도께 모든 권세와 심판을 주셨다.^b 그날에는 타락한 천사들뿐 아니라,^c 땅 위에 살았던 모든 사람이 그리스도의 심판대 앞에 나타나 자신의 생각과 말과 행위를 결산하고, 몸으로 행한 선악에 따라 보응을 받을 것이다.^d

사도행전 17:31

31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

31 이는 정하신 사람으로 하여금 천하를 공의로 심판할 날을 작정하시고 이에 저를 죽은 자 가운데서 다시 살리신 것으로 모든 사람에게 믿을만한 증거를 주셨음이니라 하니라

요한복음 5:22, 27

22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

22 아버지께서 아무도 심판하지 아니하시고 심판을 다 아들에게 맡기셨으니

27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

27 또 인자됨을 인하여 심판하는 권세를 주셨느니라

고린도전서 6:3

3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

3 우리가 천사를 판단할 것을 너희가 알지 못하느냐 그러하거든 하물며 세상 일이랴

베드로후서 2:4

4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

4 하나님이 범죄한 천사들을 용서치 아니하시고 지옥에 던져 어두운 구덩이에 두어 심판때까지 지키게 하셨으며

유다서 1:6

6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

6 또 자기 지위를 지키지 아니하고 자기 처소를 떠난 천사들을 큰 날의 심판까지 영원한 결박으로 흑암에 가두셨으며

전도서 12:14

14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

14 하나님은 모든 행위와 모든 은밀한 일을 선악간에 심판하시리라

마태복음 12:36-37

36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

36 내가 너희에게 이르노니 사람이 무슨 무익한 말을 하든지 심판날에 이에 대하여 심문을 받으리니

37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

37 네 말로 의롭다 함을 받고 네 말로 정죄함을 받으리라

로마서 2:16

16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

16 곧 내 복음에 이른 바와 같이 하나님이 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 사람들의 은밀한 것을 심판하시는 그날이라

로마서 14:10, 12

10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

10 네가 어찌하여 네 형제를 판단하느뇨 어찌하여 네 형제를 업신여기느뇨 우리가 다 하나님의 심판대 앞에 서리라

12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

12 이러므로 우리 각인이 자기 일을 하나님께 직고하리라

고린도후서 5:10

10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

10 이는 우리가 다 반드시 그리스도의 심판대 앞에 드러나 각각 선악간에 그 몸으로 행한 것을 따라 받으려 함이라

2. The end of God’s appointing this day, is for the manifestation of the glory of his mercy in the eternal salvation of the elect;^a and of his justice in the damnation of the reprobate, who are wicked and disobedient.^b For then shall the righteous go into everlasting life, and receive that fulness of joy and refreshing which shall come from the presence of the Lord:^c but the wicked, who know not God, and obey not the gospel of Jesus Christ, shall be cast into eternal torments, and be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power.^d

2. 하나님께서 이 날을 정하신 목적은 택하신 자들의 영원한 구원에서 자신의 긍휼의 영광을 나타내시고,^a 악하고 불순종하는 유기된 자들의 정죄에서 자신의 공의의 영광을 나타내시려는 것이다.^b 그때 의인들은 영생에 들어가 주의 임재에서 오는 충만한 기쁨과 새 힘을 받을 것이다.^c 그러나 하나님을 알지 못하고 예수 그리스도의 복음에 순종하지 않는 악인들은 영원한 고통에 던져져, 주의 임재와 그분의 능력의 영광에서 떠나 영원한 멸망의 형벌을 받을 것이다.^d

로마서 9:23

23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

23 또한 영광 받기로 예비하신바 긍휼의 그릇에 대하여 그 영광의 부요함을 알게 하고자 하셨을찌라도 무슨 말 하리요

로마서 2:5-6

5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

5 다만 네 고집과 회개치 아니한 마음을 따라 진노의 날 곧 하나님의 의로우신 판단이 나타나는 그 날에 임할 진노를 네게 쌓는도다

6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

6 하나님께서 각 사람에게 그 행한대로 보응하시되

로마서 9:22

22 What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

22 만일 하나님이 그 진노를 보이시고 그 능력을 알게 하고자 하사 멸하기로 준비된 진노의 그릇을 오래 참으심으로 관용하시고

데살로니가후서 1:7-8

7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

7 환난 받는 너희에게는 우리와 함께 안식으로 갚으시는 것이 하나님의 공의시니 주 예수께서 저의 능력의 천사들과 함께 하늘로부터 불꽃 중에 나타나실 때에

8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

8 하나님을 모르는 자들과 우리 주 예수의 복음을 복종치 않는 자들에게 형벌을 주시리니

마태복음 25:31-34

31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

31 인자가 자기 영광으로 모든 천사와 함께 올때에 자기 영광의 보좌에 앉으리니

32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

32 모든 민족을 그 앞에 모으고 각각 분별하기를 목자가 양과 염소를 분별하는것 같이 하여

33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

33 양은 그 오른편에, 염소는 왼편에 두리라

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

34 그 때에 임금이 그 오른편에 있는 자들에게 이르시되 내 아버지께 복 받을 자들이여 나아와 창세로부터 너희를 위하여 예비된 나라를 상속하라

사도행전 3:19

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

19 그러므로 너희가 회개하고 돌이켜 너희 죄 없이 함을 받으라 이같이 하면 유쾌하게 되는 날이 주 앞으로부터 이를 것이요

데살로니가후서 1:7

7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

마태복음 25:41, 46

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

41 또 왼편에 있는 자들에게 이르시되 저주를 받은 자들아 나를 떠나 마귀와 그 사자들을 위하여 예비된 영영한 불에 들어가라

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

46 저희는 영벌에, 의인들은 영생에 들어가리라 하시니라

데살로니가후서 1:9

9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

9 이런 자들이 주의 얼굴과 그의 힘의 영광을 떠나 영원한 멸망의 형벌을 받으리로다

3. As Christ would have us to be certainly persuaded that there shall be a day of judgment, both to deter all men from sin, and for the greater consolation of the godly in their adversity:^a so will he have that day unknown to men, that they may shake off all carnal security, and be always watchful, because they know not at what hour the Lord will come; and may be ever prepared to say, Come, Lord Jesus, come quickly. Amen.^b

3. 그리스도는 모든 사람을 죄에서 돌이키고 경건한 이들이 역경 가운데 더욱 큰 위로를 얻게 하시려고, 심판의 날이 있다는 것을 우리가 확실히 믿기를 원하신다.^a 동시에 그 날을 사람들에게 알리지 않으심으로, 그들이 모든 육적인 안일함을 떨쳐 버리고 주께서 어느 시각에 오실지 알지 못하므로 언제나 깨어 있게 하시며, 늘 준비하여 “오소서, 주 예수여, 속히 오소서. 아멘.”이라고 말하게 하신다.^b

27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

27 그 때에 사람들이 인자가 구름을 타고 능력과 큰 영광으로 오는 것을 보리라

28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

28 이런 일이 되기를 시작하거든 일어나 머리를 들라 너희 구속이 가까왔느니라 하시더라

로마서 8:23-25

23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

23 이뿐 아니라 또한 우리 곧 성령의 처음 익은 열매를 받은 우리까지도 속으로 탄식하여 양자 될것 곧 우리 몸의 구속을 기다리느니라

24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

24 우리가 소망으로 구원을 얻었으매 보이는 소망이 소망이 아니니 보는 것을 누가 바라리요

25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

25 만일 우리가 보지 못하는 것을 바라면 참음으로 기다릴찌니라

고린도후서 5:10-11

10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

10 이는 우리가 다 반드시 그리스도의 심판대 앞에 드러나 각각 선악간에 그 몸으로 행한 것을 따라 받으려 함이라

11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

11 우리가 주의 두려우심을 알므로 사람을 권하노니 우리가 하나님 앞에 알리워졌고 또 너희의 양심에도 알리워졌기를 바라노라

데살로니가후서 1:5-7

5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

5 이는 하나님의 공의로운 심판의 표요 너희로 하여금 하나님 나라에 합당한 자로 여기심을 얻게 하려 함이니 그 나라를 위하여 너희가 또한 고난을 받느니라

6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

6 너희로 환난 받게 하는 자들에게는 환난으로 갚으시고

7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

베드로후서 3:11, 14

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

마태복음 24:36, 42-44

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

36 그러나 그 날과 그 때는 아무도 모르나니 하늘의 천사들도, 아들도 모르고 오직 아버지만 아시느니라

42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

42 그러므로 깨어 있으라 어느 날에 너희 주가 임할는지

43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

43 너희가 알지 못함이니라 너희도 아는바니 만일 집 주인이 도적이 어느 경점에 올 줄을 알았더면 깨어 있어 그 집을 뚫지 못하게 하였으리라

44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

44 이러므로 너희도 예비하고 있으라 생각지 않은 때에 인자가 오리라

마가복음 13:35-37

35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

35 그러므로 깨어 있으라 집 주인이 언제 올는지 혹 저물 때엘는지, 밤중엘는지, 닭 울 때엘는지, 새벽엘는지 너희가 알지 못함이라

36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

36 그가 홀연히 와서 너희의 자는 것을 보지 않도록 하라

37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;

35 허리에 띠를 띠고 등불을 켜고 서 있으라

36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.

36 너희는 마치 그 주인이 혼인 집에서 돌아와 문을 두드리면 곧 열어 주려고 기다리는 사람과 같이 되라

요한계시록 22:20

20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
