문답 109 제2계명에서 금하는 죄들은 무엇입니까?

What are the sins forbidden in the second commandment?

The sins forbidden in the second commandment are, all devising,¹ counselling,² commanding,³ using,⁴ and any wise approving, any religious worship not instituted by God himself;⁵ the making any representation of God, of all or of any of the three persons, either inwardly in our mind, or outwardly in any kind of image or likeness of any creature whatsoever;⁶ all worshipping of it,⁷ or God in it or by it;⁸ the making of any representation of feigned deities,⁹ and all worship of them, or service belonging to them,¹⁰ all superstitious devices,¹¹ corrupting the worship of God,¹² adding to it, or taking from it,¹³ whether invented and taken up of ourselves,¹⁴ or received by tradition from others,¹⁵ though under the title of antiquity,¹⁶ custom,¹⁷ devotion,¹⁸ good intent, or any other pretence whatsoever;¹⁹ simony;²⁰ sacrilege;²¹ all neglect,²² contempt,²³ hindering,²⁴ and opposing the worship and ordinances which God hath appointed.²⁵

신명기 12:30-32

30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.

30 너는 스스로 삼가서 네 앞에서 멸망한 그들의 자취를 밟아 올무에 들지 말라 또 그들의 신을 탐구하여 이르기를 이 민족들은 그 신들을 어떻게 위하였는고 나도 그와 같이 하겠다 하지 말라

31 Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.

15 Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:

사도행전 17:29

29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

로마서 1:21-23, 25

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

다니엘 3:18

18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

갈라디아서 4:8

8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.

8 And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts.
