문답 112 제3계명에서 요구하는 것은 무엇입니까?

What is required in the third commandment?

The third commandment requires, That the name of God, his titles, attributes,¹ ordinances,² the word,³ sacraments,⁴ prayer,⁵ oaths,⁶ vows,⁷ lots,⁸ his works,⁹ and whatsoever else there is whereby he makes himself known, be holy and reverently used in thought,¹⁰ meditation,¹¹ word,¹² and writing;¹³ by an holy profession,¹⁴ and answerable conversation,¹⁵ to the glory of God,¹⁶ and the good of ourselves,¹⁷ and others.¹⁸

제3계명은 하나님의 이름과 칭호와 속성과,¹ 규례와,² 말씀과,³ 성례와,⁴ 기도와,⁵ 맹세와,⁶ 서원과,⁷ 제비뽑기와,⁸ 그분의 행하시는 일과,⁹ 그 밖에 그분이 자신을 알리시는 모든 것을 생각과,¹⁰ 묵상과,¹¹ 말과,¹² 글에서 거룩하고 경외하는 태도로 사용하기를 요구합니다.¹³ 거룩한 신앙 고백과,¹⁴ 그에 걸맞은 생활을 통하여,¹⁵ 하나님의 영광과,¹⁶ 우리 자신과,¹⁷ 다른 사람들의 유익을 위하여 그렇게 해야 합니다.¹⁸

말라기 1:14

14 But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, saith the LORD of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen.

14 떼 가운데 수컷이 있거늘 그 서원하는 일에 흠 있는 것으로 사기하여 내게 드리는 자는 저주를 받으리니 나는 큰 임금이요 내 이름은 열방 중에서 두려워하는 것이 됨이니라 만군의 여호와의 말이니라

전도서 5:1

1 Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.

1 너는 하나님의 전에 들어갈 때에 네 발을 삼갈찌어다 가까이 하여 말씀을 듣는 것이 우매자의 제사 드리는 것보다 나으니 저희는 악을 행하면서도 깨닫지 못함이니라

시편 138:2

2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

2 내가 주의 성전을 향하여 경배하며 주의 인자하심과 성실하심을 인하여 주의 이름에 감사하오리니 이는 주께서 주의 말씀을 주의 모든 이름 위에 높게 하셨음이라

고린도전서 11:24-25, 28-29

24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

24 축사하시고 떼어 가라사대 이것은 너희를 위하는 내 몸이니 이것을 행하여 나를 기념하라 하시고

25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

29 주의 몸을 분변치 못하고 먹고 마시는 자는 자기의 죄를 먹고 마시는 것이니라

디모데전서 2:8

8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

8 그러므로 각처에서 남자들이 분노와 다툼이 없이 거룩한 손을 들어 기도하기를 원하노라

예레미야 4:2

2 And thou shalt swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.

2 진실과 공평과 정의로 여호와의 삶을 가리켜 맹세하면 열방이 나로 인하여 스스로 복을 빌며 나로 인하여 자랑하리라

2 Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.

16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

16 그 때에 여호와를 경외하는 자들이 피차에 말하매 여호와께서 그것을 분명히 들으시고 여호와를 경외하는 자와 그 이름을 존중히 생각하는 자를 위하여 여호와 앞에 있는 기념책에 기록하셨느니라

1 여호와 우리 주여 주의 이름이 온 땅에 어찌 그리 아름다운지요 주의 영광을 하늘 위에 두셨나이다

3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
