문답 168 성찬은 무엇입니까?

What is the Lord’ s supper?

The Lord’ s supper is a sacrament of the New Testament,¹ wherein, by giving and receiving bread and wine according to the appointment of Jesus Christ, his death is shewed forth; and they that worthily communicate feed upon his body and blood, to their spiritual nourishment and growth in grace;² have their union and communion with him confirmed;³ testify and renew their thankfulness,⁴ and engagement to God,⁵ and their mutual love and fellowship each with the other, as members of the same mystical body.⁶

성찬은 신약의 성례입니다.¹ 예수 그리스도께서 정하신 대로 떡과 포도주를 주고받음으로 그분의 죽음을 나타내며, 합당하게 참여하는 사람들은 그분의 몸과 피를 먹고 마심으로 영적 양식을 얻고 은혜 안에서 자라납니다.² 그분과의 연합과 교제를 확증받으며,³ 감사와,⁴ 하나님께 대한 서약과,⁵ 같은 신비한 몸의 지체로서 서로에 대한 사랑과 교제를 증언하고 새롭게 합니다.⁶

누가복음 22:20

20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

20 저녁 먹은 후에 잔도 이와 같이 하여 가라사대 이 잔은 내 피로 세우는 새 언약이니 곧 너희를 위하여 붓는 것이라

마태복음 26:26-28

26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

26 저희가 먹을 때에 예수께서 떡을 가지사 축복하시고 떼어 제자들을 주시며 가라사대 받아 먹으라 이것이 내 몸이니라 하시고

27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

27 또 잔을 가지사 사례하시고 저희에게 주시며 가라사대 너희가 다 이것을 마시라

28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

28 이것은 죄 사함을 얻게 하려고 많은 사람을 위하여 흘리는바 나의 피 곧 언약의 피니라

고린도전서 11:23-26

23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

23 내가 너희에게 전한 것은 주께 받은 것이니 곧 주 예수께서 잡히시던 밤에 떡을 가지사

24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

24 축사하시고 떼어 가라사대 이것은 너희를 위하는 내 몸이니 이것을 행하여 나를 기념하라 하시고

25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

25 식후에 또한 이와 같이 잔을 가지시고 가라사대 이 잔은 내 피로 세운 새 언약이니 이것을 행하여 마실 때마다 나를 기념하라 하셨으니

26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord's death till he come.

26 너희가 이 떡을 먹으며 이 잔을 마실 때마다 주의 죽으심을 오실 때까지 전하는 것이니라

고린도전서 10:16

16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

16 우리가 축복하는바 축복의 잔은 그리스도의 피에 참예함이 아니며 우리가 떼는 떡은 그리스도의 몸에 참예함이 아니냐

고린도전서 11:24

24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

24 축사하시고 떼어 가라사대 이것은 너희를 위하는 내 몸이니 이것을 행하여 나를 기념하라 하시고

고린도전서 10:14-16, 21

14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

14 그런즉 내 사랑하는 자들아 우상 숭배하는 일을 피하라

15 I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.

15 나는 지혜 있는 자들에게 말함과 같이 하노니 너희는 내 이르는 말을 스스로 판단하라

16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

21 너희가 주의 잔과 귀신의 잔을 겸하여 마시지 못하고 주의 상과 귀신의 상에 겸하여 참예치 못하리라

고린도전서 10:17

17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
