문답 191 둘째 간구에서 우리는 무엇을 기도합니까?

What do we pray for in the second petition?

In the second petition, (which is, Thy kingdom come,¹ ) acknowledging ourselves and all mankind to be by nature under the dominion of sin and Satan,² we pray, that the kingdom of sin and Satan may be destroyed,³ the gospel propagated throughout the world,⁴ the Jews called,⁵ the fullness of the Gentiles brought in;⁶ the church furnished with all gospel-officers and ordinances,⁷ purged from corruption,⁸ countenanced and maintained by the civil magistrate:⁹ and the ordinances of Christ may be purely dispensed, and made effectual to the converting of those that are yet in their sins, and the confirming, comforting, and building up of those that are already converted:¹⁰ that Christ would rule in our hearts here,¹¹ and hasten the time of his second coming, and our reigning with him for ever:¹² and that he would be pleased so to exercise the kingdom of his power in all the world, as may best conduce to these ends.¹³

1 하나님은 일어나사 원수를 흩으시며 주를 미워하는 자로 주의 앞에서 도망하게 하소서

18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.

18 주께서 높은 곳으로 오르시며 사로잡은 자를 끌고 선물을 인간에게서, 또는 패역자 중에서 받으시니 여호와 하나님이 저희와 함께 거하려 하심이로다

요한계시록 12:10-11

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

1 종말로 형제들아 너희는 우리를 위하여 기도하기를 주의 말씀이 너희 가운데서와 같이 달음질하여 영광스럽게 되고

로마서 10:1

1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

1 형제들아 내 마음에 원하는 바와 하나님께 구하는 바는 이스라엘을 위함이니 곧 저희로 구원을 얻게 함이라

요한복음 17:9, 20

9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

9 내가 저희를 위하여 비옵나니 내가 비옵는 것은 세상을 위함이 아니요 내게 주신 자들을 위함이니이다 저희는 아버지의 것이로소이다

20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

로마서 11:25-26

25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

에베소서 6:18-20

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

18 모든 기도와 간구로 하되 무시로 성령 안에서 기도하고 이를 위하여 깨어 구하기를 항상 힘쓰며 여러 성도를 위하여 구하고

19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

29 And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.

데살로니가후서 1:11

11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

데살로니가후서 2:16-17

20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

1 Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence.

1 원컨대 주는 하늘을 가르고 강림하시고 주의 앞에서 산들로 진동하기를
