문답 28 현세에서 죄에 대한 형벌은 무엇입니까?

What are the punishments of sin in this world?

The punishments of sin in this world are either inward, as blindness of mind,¹ a reprobate sense,² strong delusions,³ hardness of heart,⁴ horror of conscience,⁵ and vile affections;⁶ or outward, as the curse of God upon the creatures of our sakes,⁷ and all other evils that befall us in our bodies, names, estates, relations, and employments;⁸ together with death itself.⁹

내적인 형벌에는 마음의 눈멂과¹ 버림받은 판단력과² 강한 미혹과³ 마음의 완고함과⁴ 양심의 공포와⁵ 수치스러운 욕망이 있습니다.⁶ 외적인 형벌에는 우리 때문에 피조물에 임한 하나님의 저주와⁷ 몸과 명예와 재산과 관계와 일에 닥치는 다른 모든 악이 있으며,⁸ 죽음 자체도 포함됩니다.⁹

18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

18 저희 총명이 어두워지고 저희 가운데 있는 무지함과 저희 마음이 굳어짐으로 말미암아 하나님의 생명에서 떠나 있도다

로마서 1:28

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

28 또한 저희가 마음에 하나님 두기를 싫어하매 하나님께서 저희를 그 상실한 마음대로 내어 버려두사 합당치 못한 일을 하게 하셨으니

데살로니가후서 2:11

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

11 이러므로 하나님이 유혹을 저의 가운데 역사하게 하사 거짓 것을 믿게 하심은

로마서 2:5

5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

5 다만 네 고집과 회개치 아니한 마음을 따라 진노의 날 곧 하나님의 의로우신 판단이 나타나는 그 날에 임할 진노를 네게 쌓는도다

이사야 33:14

14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

14 시온의 죄인들이 두려워하며 경건치 아니한 자들이 떨며 이르기를 우리 중에 누가 삼키는 불과 함께 거하겠으며 우리 중에 누가 영영히 타는 것과 함께 거하리요 하도다

창세기 4:13

13 And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.

13 가인이 여호와께 고하되 내 죄벌이 너무 중하여 견딜 수 없나이다

마태복음 27:4

4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

4 가로되 내가 무죄한 피를 팔고 죄를 범하였도다 하니 저희가 가로되 그것이 우리에게 무슨 상관이 있느냐 네가 당하라 하거늘

로마서 1:26

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

26 이를 인하여 하나님께서 저희를 부끄러운 욕심에 내어 버려 두셨으니 곧 저희 여인들도 순리대로 쓸 것을 바꾸어 역리로 쓰며

창세기 3:17

17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

17 아담에게 이르시되 네가 네 아내의 말을 듣고 내가 너더러 먹지 말라한 나무 실과를 먹었은즉 땅은 너로 인하여 저주를 받고 너는 종신토록 수고하여야 그 소산을 먹으리라

신명기 28:15-18

15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

15 네가 만일 네 하나님 여호와의 말씀을 순종하지 아니하여 내가 오늘날 네게 명하는 그 모든 명령과 규례를 지켜 행하지 아니하면 이 모든 저주가 네게 임하고 네게 미칠 것이니

16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.

16 네가 성읍에서도 저주를 받으며 들에서도 저주를 받을 것이요

17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.

17 또 네 광주리와 떡반죽 그릇이 저주를 받을 것이요

18 Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

18 네 몸의 소생과 네 토지의 소산과 네 우양의 새끼가 저주를 받을 것이며

로마서 6:21, 23

21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

21 너희가 그 때에 무슨 열매를 얻었느뇨 이제는 너희가 그 일을 부끄러워하나니 이는 그 마지막이 사망임이니라

23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

23 죄의 삯은 사망이요 하나님의 은사는 그리스도 예수 우리 주 안에 있는 영생이니라
