문답 72 의롭다 하심을 받는 믿음은 무엇입니까?

What is justifying faith?

Justifying faith is a saving grace,¹ wrought in the heart of a sinner by the Spirit² and word of God,³ whereby he, being convinced of his sin and misery, and of the disability in himself and all other creatures to recover him out of his lost condition,⁴ not only assenteth to the truth of the promise of the gospel,⁵ but received and rested upon Christ and his righteousness, therein held forth, for pardon of sin,⁶ and for the accepting and accounting of his person righteous in the sight of God for salvation.⁷

구원에 이르는 은혜로서,¹ 성령과² 하나님의 말씀으로 죄인의 마음에 일어납니다.³ 죄인은 자신의 죄와 비참을 깨닫고, 자신이나 어떤 다른 피조물도 잃어버린 상태에서 자신을 회복시킬 수 없음을 깨달아,⁴ 복음의 약속이 참되다고 동의할 뿐 아니라,⁵ 그 안에 제시된 그리스도와 그분의 의를 받아들이고 의지하여 죄 사함을 받고,⁶ 하나님 앞에서 자신이 의롭다고 받아들여지고 여겨져 구원에 이르기를 구합니다.⁷

히브리서 10:39

로마서 10:14-17

14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

14 그런즉 저희가 믿지 아니하는 이를 어찌 부르리요 듣지도 못한 이를 어찌 믿으리요 전파하는 자가 없이 어찌 들으리요

15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

15 보내심을 받지 아니하였으면 어찌 전파하리요 기록된바 아름답도다 좋은 소식을 전하는 자들의 발이여 함과 같으니라

16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

사도행전 2:37

37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

37 저희가 이 말을 듣고 마음에 찔려 베드로와 다른 사도들에게 물어 가로되 형제들아 우리가 어찌할꼬 하거늘

사도행전 16:30

30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

30 저희를 데리고 나가 가로되 선생들아 내가 어떻게 하여야 구원을 얻으리이까 하거늘

요한복음 16:8-9

8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

사도행전 16:31

31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

사도행전 15:11

11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
