문답 79 참된 신자들도 자신의 불완전함과 자신을 덮치는 많은 시험과 죄 때문에 은혜의 상태에서 떨어질 수 있습니까?

May not true believers, by reason of their imperfections, and the many temptations and sins they are overtaken with, fall away from the state of grace?

True believers, by reason of the unchangeable love of God,¹ and his decree and covenant to give them perseverance,² their inseparable union with Christ,³ his continual intercession for them,⁴ and the Spirit and seed of God abiding in them,⁵ can neither totally nor finally fall away from the state of grace,⁶ but are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation.⁷

참된 신자들은 하나님의 변함없는 사랑과,¹ 그들에게 견인을 주시려는 하나님의 작정과 언약과,² 그리스도와의 끊을 수 없는 연합과,³ 그들을 위한 그분의 끊임없는 중보와,⁴ 그들 안에 거하시는 하나님의 성령과 씨로 말미암아,⁵ 은혜의 상태에서 전적으로나 최종적으로 떨어질 수 없으며,⁶ 믿음을 통하여 구원에 이르도록 하나님의 능력으로 보호받습니다.⁷

디모데후서 2:19

19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

19 그러나 하나님의 견고한 터는 섰으니 인침이 있어 일렀으되 주께서 자기 백성을 아신다 하며 또 주의 이름을 부르는 자마다 불의에서 떠날찌어다 하였느니라

히브리서 13:20-21

20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

5 Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.

5 내 집이 하나님 앞에 이 같지 아니하냐 하나님이 나로 더불어 영원한 언약을 세우사 만사에 구비하고 견고케 하셨으니 나의 모든 구원과 나의 모든 소원을 어찌 이루지 아니하시랴

고린도전서 1:8-9

8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

8 주께서 너희를 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 날에 책망할 것이 없는 자로 끝까지 견고케 하시리라

9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

히브리서 7:25

25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

요한일서 3:9

9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

9 하나님께로서 난 자마다 죄를 짓지 아니하나니 이는 하나님의 씨가 그의 속에 거함이요 저도 범죄치 못하는 것은 하나님께로서 났음이라

요한일서 2:27

27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

27 너희는 주께 받은바 기름 부음이 너희 안에 거하나니 아무도 너희를 가르칠 필요가 없고 오직 그의 기름 부음이 모든 것을 너희에게 가르치며 또 참되고 거짓이 없으니 너희를 가르치신 그대로 주 안에 거하라

예레미야 32:40

40 And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.

28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
