The moral law is of use to all men, to inform them of the holy nature and the will of God,1 and of their duty, binding them to walk accordingly;2 to convince them of their disability to keep it, and of the sinful pollution of their nature, hearts, and lives:3 to humble them in the sense of their sin and misery,4 and thereby help them to a clearer sight of the need they have of Christ,5 and of the perfection of his obedience.6
도덕법은 모든 사람에게 하나님의 거룩한 본성과 뜻을 알려 주고,1 그들의 의무를 알려 주어 그에 따라 행할 책임을 지우며,2 그것을 지킬 능력이 없다는 사실과 본성과 마음과 삶이 죄로 오염되었다는 사실을 깨닫게 합니다.3 자기 죄와 비참을 깨달아 겸손하게 하고,4 그리하여 그리스도가 자신에게 얼마나 필요한지와,5 그분의 순종이 얼마나 완전한지를 더욱 분명히 보도록 돕습니다.6
