Christ executeth the office of a king, in subduing us to himself,1 in ruling2 and defending us,3 and in restraining and conquering all his and our enemies.4
그리스도께서는 우리를 자신에게 복종하게 하시고,1 우리를 다스리시며,2 보호하시고,3 그분과 우리의 모든 원수를 억제하고 정복하심으로 왕의 직무를 수행하십니다.4
14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
14 하나님이 처음으로 이방인 중에서 자기 이름을 위할 백성을 취하시려고 저희를 권고하신 것을 시므온이 고하였으니
15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
15 선지자들의 말씀이 이와 합하도다 기록된바
16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.
1 보라 장차 한 왕이 의로 통치할 것이요 방백들이 공평으로 정사할 것이며
2 And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.
2 또 그 사람은 광풍을 피하는 곳, 폭우를 가리우는 곳 같을 것이며 마른 땅에 냇물 같을 것이며 곤비한 땅에 큰 바위 그늘 같으리니
