23 And Sihon would not sufferIsrael to pass through his border: but Sihongathered all his peopletogether, and went outagainstIsrael into the wilderness: and he came to Jahaz, and fought against Israel.
23 And Sihon would not let Israel go through his land; but got all his people together and went out against Israel into the waste land, as far as Jahaz, to make war on Israel.
